Laurie graduated from Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) in 2009 and holds an additional bilingual (English/French) master's degree in European competition and intellectual property law from the Université de Liège.

 

Her day-to-day practice is mainly focused on commercial law, construction law and leasing law.
 
She is also specialised in intellectual property law, in particular in trademark and copyright law.
 
Laurie has given several training courses in these areas and has specifically addressed the issue of market practices in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in her writings.
 
In this capacity, Laurie assists companies and individuals by providing practical advice, drawing up the legal documents necessary for their activity and representing them before the Belgian courts in the event of litigation.
 
Laurie was appointed conciliator at the Commercial Ombudsman in 2017, because she is convinced that a negotiated solution will lead the parties to a solution that satisfies their interests.
